Development Accord is a charity that does giving differently. Donations are not spent once. They go into the Development Accord Fund, where they are invested under an ethical policy, and the returns go to partners protecting children and families in Cambodia. Their line for it is “Every donation giving for life”.
We moved their website from Joomla to WordPress, and it now runs on our hosting.
An idea that needs explaining
Development Accord’s model takes a minute to explain. A donation stays in the fund and keeps earning, year after year. For a small charity, the website has to make that click for a first-time visitor, and be simple to keep up to date.
The site is built around the questions a potential donor asks. About Us covers who they are: a group of professionals from different fields who wanted to do charity differently. How It Works explains how a donation keeps generating income for partners in Cambodia. DevA Fund covers the fund itself, Partners shows who the returns support, and Contact Us keeps it simple.
Hosting and backups
The site is hosted on our Synergy setup, with a full offsite backup every week. If something goes wrong, whether a bad update, a broken plugin or a page deleted by mistake, there is a full copy of the site sitting somewhere else, ready to restore. Nobody at Development Accord has to remember to do it.
